About the role We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Administrator who also brings hands-on expertise with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and practical experience developing Copilot Agents (or similar generative AI assistants). This role will help HPE upgrade an on-premises SharePoint environment to the new version of SharePoint (SE) and help build low-code solutions to automate business processes, and design intelligent assistant experiences that improve productivity. The ideal candidate is both an operations-focused administrator and a proactive developer who partners with business teams to deliver user-focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain SharePoint Online and On-Prem if applicable): site architecture, permissions, tenant settings, search configuration, content migration, versioning, and lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to set up On-Prem SharePoint servers.
  • Implement and enforce governance: site provisioning, security groups, permission models, retention policies, compliance, and auditing.
  • Monitor performance, capacity, availability and cost of SharePoint and related services; implement best practices and optimizations.
  • Support and troubleshoot SharePoint issues, provide user support, and create documentation and training materials for users and administrators.
  • Provide operation support for Power Platform solutions: Power Apps (canvas & model-driven), Power Automate flows and ALM Pipelines.
  • Assist migration of legacy SharePoints to updated Dataverse solutions, entity models, and security roles where applicable.
  • Follow established governance, testing, deployment and release processes for SharePoint/Power Platform/Copilot solutions, including ALM, source control and environment management. Suggest improvements as observed.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, estimate effort and manage delivery.
  • Stay current with Microsoft 365, Power Platform and AI/Copilot roadmap and recommend adoption strategies and improvements.

Required qualifications and skills

  • 5+ years of experience administrating SharePoint Online (and/or SharePoint Server), including tenant administration, site architecture, and governance.
  • 2+ years hands-on experience building Power Platform solutions: Power Apps, Power Automate. Demonstrable portfolio of apps/flows/reports you've delivered.
  • Practical experience developing or configuring Copilot Agents or similar generative-AI assistants, including prompt engineering, integrations with knowledge stores, and implementing monitoring/feedback loops.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security and compliance features: Azure AD, conditional access, Microsoft Purview/Compliance, Information Protection, DLP, retention policies.
  • Familiarity with Dataverse, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint REST/CSOM APIs, and custom connector development.
  • Experience with Power Platform ALM and CI/CD concepts, source control (Git), and environment management.
  • Scripting and development skills: at least one of PowerShell, TypeScript/JavaScript, C#, or .NET for automation/customizations.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills, ability to analyze logs and telemetry, and experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 admin center, Azure Monitor).
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with business stakeholders to design user-centric solutions.

Preferred / nice-to-have

  • Microsoft certifications such as:
    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate or Modern Desktop Administrator
    • Power Platform certifications (PL-100, PL-200, PL-400)
    • Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Azure Administrator/Developer certifications
  • Experience with Azure services useful for integrations (Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Cognitive Services, OpenAI Service).
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and enterprise compliance requirements (ISO, SOC, GDPR).
  • Experience migrating legacy On-Prem SharePoint to the new SE version of SharePoint.
