Shift Engineer Electrical

Purpose of the Position (Job Summary)

To achieve the Zero breakdowns to defined production target complying to the defined parameters in shift for the 55MW,66 MW and 120 MW.

Smooth operations of all electrical equipment & its auxiliary, maintain all parameter related to all elect. Equipment.

Core operational accountabilities

- Maintain all GEB parameter MW/MVA/MVAr/PF as per guideline. - Maintain all power & auxiliary transformer running parameter. - Maintain all 48MW, 60MW and 120 MW Generator parameter MW/MVAr/PF, wdg. Temp, Brg. Temp etc. - Maintaining RE power schedule - Conditioning & monitoring of all electrical equipment. - Isolate respective electrical equipment which is in taken for maintenance & Permit took for it & also LOTO provided for Safety of person.. - Made daily power report and its related Master data daily update. Power posting carried out on daily basis. - Coordinate with the power plant & Emg. DG trial taken to ensure the DG to work in emergency Condition. - Record the Shift Activities in the Shift log books/ registers that are maintained by the department and take corrective action in case of abnormalities based on electrical abnormality reports if any. - Prepare shift reports on the load, & send it to HOD & Unit head.

- Resource conservation. - Weekly battery maintenance carried out. - Reporting of operational parameters and deviation if any, during shift to the Area Incharge and HOD - Electrical · Maintenance Support - Coordinate and control through DCS engineer to takeout any breakdown maintenance & give them surety about maintenance of elect. Equipment. · Quality / Environment / Health & Safety Management - Take necessary action such as a plant shutdown (if required in extreme cases) in cases of emergencies. - Attend on-site emergency and take corrective action and inform appropriate authorities about the emergency. - Monitor maintenance quality and take corrective action in case of deviation from standards. - Monitor and maintain the Environment parameters as per prescribed guideline..

Technical & Behavioral Skills & Knowledge

· B.E/B.Tech – Electrical with experience of 3 to 5 years in thermal power plant.

· Should experience and knowledge of plant electrical equipment operations through SCADA.

· Knowledge about chemicals used in the plant.

· Knowledge of emergency handling

· Should have knowledge of ISO standards and procedures.

· Operational knowledge of Computers including SAP.

· Should have exposure of necessary statutory compliance.

· Should have knowledge & exposure of Environment, Health & Safety requirements.

* Ensuring zero incident at site during entire project.
* Ensure Plant safety and Behaviour Based Safety to meet SHE requirement.
* Inventory management of the Engineering stores.
