Role & responsibilities
- Communicate appropriate instructions to AHP operation engineers/ASIC/Desk Engineers/Field Engineers/Operators/maintenance personnel and communicate the status to superior.
- Ensure safe, reliable and smooth operation of plant in shift.
- Manage emergencies in the Plant and take timely action to avoid failures and improve availability and reliability
- Check and verify all operation related activities including Log Books of ASIC/desk and field engineer, Check List, Shift Routines (Trial run, Equipment changeover, Joint checking as per schedule), PTWs, Logic bypass Register etc.
- Ensures logic changes/bypass in need as well as ensure timely normalization intimation to head operation..
- Prepare the report generation (daily generation report, FIR on tripping/incidence of unit).
- Monitor water & steam chemistry through SWAS to avoid deterioration in condenser, Boiler Feed & Steam quality so as to avoid generation loss.
