About the Role

ShimentoX Technologies is seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems. You will play a key role in driving system architecture, ensuring code quality, and contributing to the continuous improvement of backend services and development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and Spring Boot .

• Drive system design and architecture discussions for new and existing services.

• Write clean, efficient, and testable code following industry best practices.

• Collaborate closely with product managers , frontend engineers , and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end features.

• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability .

• Participate in code reviews , ensure code quality, and mentor junior engineers when needed.

• Identify performance bottlenecks and design robust solutions.

• Quickly ramp up on new technologies , business domains, and existing codebases.

• Contribute to improving development processes , automation , and CI/CD pipelines .

• Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability across microservices.

• Support technical direction and contribute to the overall product roadmap .

Must-Have Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework.

• Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs .

• Expertise in relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL .

• Solid understanding of data structures , algorithms , and distributed systems .

• Familiarity with DevOps , CI/CD pipelines , and Agile methodologies .

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science , Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot.

• Proven ability to design and build scalable backend architectures.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
