Shock Facility Technician

The Role

As a member of the UK Defence Operations Maritime domain, the shock facility technician role will provide support by delivering planned maintenance and to operate the shock test facilities to enable customer equipment to be tested to the required shock standards.

Day-to-day, you’ll support the assembly of test rigs, prepare and calibrate shock machines, manage and maintain customers and our own plant equipment, as well as make sure all activities are carried out in a safe and secure manner.

Your responsibilities will include:

Undertake the assembly of test rigs and fixtures to facilitate the shock testing of Customers equipment

Prepare the shock machines for calibration and equipment testing in accordance with local documentation, ensuring any deficiencies are bought to the attention of the Facility Manager or Shock Technical Lead

Fit Customer equipment in accordance with agreed procedure to the appropriate shock ...
