Your Job

As a Shop Floor Supervisor, you will lead and develop the shop team of operators to achieve safe, efficient, and high-quality operations, aligned with business goals.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure all safety protocols and standards are followed and continuously improved.
  • Oversee daily shop operations, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation across shifts.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Tool Room, Planning, QA/QC, Maintenance, Stores) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Lead daily shift meetings and safety talk and communicate production goals and updates to the team.
  • Coach, develop, and provide feedback to team members (operators) to maximize their contribution.
  • Monitor and drive performance to meet or exceed production, quality, and cost targets.
  • Adopting a culture of continuous improvement and uphold company values.
  • Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing practices and 5S across the shop floor.
  • Handle shop floor issues proactively, including manpower gaps, quality deviations, and safety concerns.

  • Zero recordable safety incidents; proactive identification and mitigation of risks.Meet or exceed daily/weekly production targets with minimal downtime.
  • Achieve quality standards as measured by defect rates and customer feedback.
  • Demonstrate effective team leadership, as reflected in engagement and retention metrics.
  • Empower operators to identify and implement at least one process improvement per quarter.
  • Maintain accurate shift reports, production logs, and performance dashboards.
  • Ensure timely escalation and resolution of production or quality issues.
