**The key responsibilities of this position are:**
**_Analyzing elements of supplier cost structure including Material cost, process costs, direct labor, bill of materials, overhead, SG&A, Profit._**
**_Ability to perform should costing for parts/products for various categories under guidance._**
**_Supporting global category and commodity managers in deriving negotiation strategies & actual price negotiations_**
**Costing Systems & global database maintenance: Time to time updating of process parameters such as Raw material prices, Machine hour rates, Labor rates, Cost Trends, Freight & Taxes**
**_Uses best industry techniques and practices to establish fact based pricing positions, best value determinations and economic sourcing strategies under guidance._**
**_Actively support New product program via providing should cost information for meeting target cost & monitoring the commercial gap closure with buyers._**
**_Developing high level estimates for tooling and negotiation with tooling vendor._**
**_Support in VAVE, teardown and benchmarking projects using directional and other costing methodologies._**
**_Areas of expertise include understanding of design & drawings, GD&T & sound understanding of various manufacturing processes in casting, machining, fabrication & polymerics categories._**
**_Plan and facilitate design reviews and workshop; working within cross-functional teams._**
**_Complete project assignments per established schedules._**
**_Pro-E/Creo knowledge a plus_**

**Part 2. Describe the Person**
**Minimum professional and educational background desired (include years of experience).**
**_4-Year bachelor’s degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering_**
**_Freshers to 3 years’ experience in supply chain, Manufacturing Process Plan and Execution methodologies in casting or Fabrication or Polymerics commodity_**
**_OR_**
**_4-Year bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering_**
**_2-Year Master Degree in Mechanical engineering/Production Engineering_**
**_Freshers to 1 year experience in supply chain, Manufacturing Process Plan and Execution methodologies in casting or Fabrication or Polymerics commodity_**
**Key technical skills and knowledge.**
**_• Knowledge of various manufacturing processes in casting, machining, fabrication & polymerics categories._**
**_• Ability to identify material used, manufacturing process, etc._**
**_• Costing analysis or design-to-cost experience a plus_**
**_• Problem-solving and data analytical skills._**
**_• Cost Gap Analysis (Supplier quote vs should cost) and capable of handling supplier negotiations under guidance._**
**_• Knowledge of international & industry standards a plus._**
**_• Proficiency in Creo a plus_**
**_• Project / Program Management skills_**
**_• Costing analysis or design-to-cost experience a plus_**
**_• Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage tasks/priorities._**
**_• Effective communication in English is must._**
**_• Microsoft office package – Excel and PowerPoint. – Experienced user._**
