Role Overview
We are looking for a detail oriented and analytical Should Costing Engineer to join our team. The role involves evaluating product designs, manufacturing processes, and supplier quotes to determine the most cost-effective solutions, while maintaining quality and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and analyze cost models for mechanical/electrical components, assemblies, and systems.Evaluate supplier quotations and benchmark costs against industry standards.Identify cost drivers and provide recommendations for cost reduction opportunities.Collaborate with design, sourcing, and supplier teams to validate costs and drive value engineering.Support new product development by providing accurate cost estimates during concept and design phases.Conduct make vs. buy analysis and support supplier negotiations with cost insights.
