• B.E. / B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 6 to 12 years of industry experience as Should costing engineer
• Working exposure to manufacturing processes of various engineering commodities for passenger car parts (Castings, Forgings, Sheet metal, Machined items, Plastic, Rubber, assemblies, etc.)
• Hands on exposure to new product development with supplier end. Technical support to vendor for process mapping, machine selection
• Cost calculations for reference/target cost and negotiations for new components
• Understanding of cost and drivers and independent cost calculations with minimal support
• Knowledge about different machines, machines hourly rate, overheads etc.
• Supplier quote analysis and providing comprehensive report / negotiation dossier to Commodity team for Price negotiation ...
