Sign language interpreter

BGC Interpreting Services is currently hiring Sign Language Interpreters for several students in the central Florida area.

Sign Language Interpreters provide a communication link between school personnel and students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.

Interpreters at this level apply skilled formal training techniques in providing interpreting and transliterating spoken language into sign language to facilitate the communication between hearing and deaf or hard-of-hearing students and instructors.

Work is performed under the direction of a certified teacher or other school official.

Hourly wage is based on level of expertise and fluency in ASL.

Qualifications • The Interpreter must be adaptable, detail oriented, dependable and have the ability to manage confidential information appropriately • Strong interpersonal, and outstanding customer service skills are required • The ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members, external customers, and leadership are also required • Must have a valid Driver's License and be willing to travel   Powered by JazzHR
