What We're Looking For

• Student in Ph.D degree program
• Solid understanding of semiconductor optical devices such as modulators, detectors, lasers and other waveguide devices.
• Familiarity or direct experience in the standard Si/CMOS process technologies required for fabrication of electro-optical devices.
• Familiarity or direct experience of optical simulation software tools and/or optical device modeling.
• Ability to present the data and ideas to a diverse audience.

Responsibilities

• Design and set up test solutions for silicon photonic chips (both passive/active devices, e.g., modulators, photodetectors, waveguides, couplers) at the wafer and chip level.
• Proficiently operate various photonic test equipment (e.g., Vector Network Analyzer - VNA...
