Contract Site Manager

Our client requires an experienced Site Manager to provide support during a ramp-up period, for increasing production across the ice cream manufacturing operations.


This role covers the full ice cream production process—from freezers and extruders through to downstream stages and packaging lines. We are seeking a seasoned professional with substantial experience in large-scale food & beverage manufacturing environments, capable of ensuring safe, stable, and efficient daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire ice cream production flow, beginning with freezers and extruders and continuing through to final packaging operations

  • Ensure all contractor-operated equipment and processes run reliably, safely, and in line with production targets

  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks in collaboration with contractor engineering and maintenance teams

  • Maintain strict adherence to HSE procedures, risk assessments, and site safety culture

  • Monitor QA/QC compliance to uphold hygiene standards and product integrity

  • Provide clear reporting and act as the client’s on-site representative, ensuring alignment between internal and contractor teams

  • Offer steady technical leadership based on extensive experience within high-volume F&B manufacturing

    • Requirements

  • 25+ years of experience in plant management, site management, operations, HSE, QA/QC, or project delivery within the F&B industry

  • Significant exposure to dairy or frozen product manufacturing is highly advantageous

  • Strong practical understanding of large-scale production equipment, including freezers, extruders, and packaging machinery

  • Ability to work independently, manage contractor performance, and provide decisive on-site leadership

  • Availability to work on a flexible schedule from Friday to Tuesday each week

  • Capacity to begin immediately and remain engaged through March

  • Willingness to work on-site in Aachen, on the Germany/Belgium border
