Piper Companies is seeking aΒ Remote Site Reliability EngineerΒ to join a leading cybersecurity and cloud consulting firm. The Site Reliability Engineer will play a key role in building and maintaining secure, scalable infrastructure while supporting automation, compliance, and operational excellence across client environments.
Responsibilities of the Site Reliability Engineer include:
Develop and deploy automation scripts, tooling, and infrastructure to meet client needsManage patching processes to ensure timely updates, system stability, and security complianceOversee Identity and Access Management (IAM), enforcing best practices for access control and data protectionPerform cloud and system administration tasks, including provisioning, performance tuning, and troubleshootingCollaborate with senior engineers and architects to resolve complex technical issues and maintain client satisfactionQualifications for the Site Reliability Engineer:
3+ years of experience in systems engineering and architecture, including integration and testingExperience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including design, deployment, and operationsExperience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AnsibleProven ability to meet SLAs through effective issue identification, escalation, and resolutionExperience supporting compliance initiatives such as FedRAMP through automation and monitoringSecurity-first mindset with the ability to balance compliance and operational goalsPreferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with cloud networking and next-gen firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASAv)Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, SOC, ISO, HIPAA, HITRUST, PCICompensation for the Site Reliability Engineer:
