Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and mentor SOC team members in India and coordinate with global teams/partners. Own and continuously improve monitoring use cases, detections, and playbooks across IT and OT environments. Serve as first level incident coordinator and / or escalation point for security incidents. Collaborate with IT, OT, Cloud, and Business teams to ensure visibility and effective response across global sites. Define and report SOC KPIs/metrics to security leadership and other stakeholders regularly. Ensure SOC processes align with common security frameworks and internal policies, and support audits/compliance efforts. Detailed understanding of advanced tactics and methods used in Cybercrimes, Hacktivism, and APTs Ability to interpret highly technical data and perform detailed data analysis slicing & dicing Contribute to security roadmap and SOC maturity initiatives. Skills & Experience
10–15 years in information / cyber security in medium–large enterprises. 8+ years in Security Operations (SOC, CSIRT, blue team, incident response). 3–5+ years managing 24x7 SOC operations with shift-based teams (including vendors/MSSPs if applicable). Proven experience supporting a global environment (multiple time zones, many sites or factories) Experience securing OT / manufacturing environments (., ICS/SCADA, shop floor, fab tools, production networks) or other highly available, safety/quality-critical environments. Good understanding of network security, endpoint security, identity security, and cloud security fundamentals (even if there is a separate cloud team). Experience designing and improving SOC playbooks, runbooks, and operating procedures. Strong people management: hiring, coaching, performance management, succession planning. Ability to define and track SOC KPIs/metrics (MTTD, MTTR, false positive rates, use-case coverage, and present them to leadership. Experience collaborating with IT, OT, product, and business leaders across regions. Familiarity with frameworks and standards like NIST CSF, NIST 800-61, ISO 27001/27035, MITRE ATT&CK. Excellent written and verbal communication in English; comfortable presenting to senior leadership / global stakeholders. Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering, Information Security, or equivalent work experience. Working Conditions
