Salary: €35,490 - €38,532 DOE

 

The Role


As a Social Care Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support in a small residential care setting, empowering individuals to live meaningful, independent lives.


Key Responsibilities


       Delivering person-centred support that promotes independence, self-care, and life skills

       Supporting community integration by accompanying residents to appointments, social and recreational activities, and family visits

       Assisting with daily living tasks such as cooking, laundry, and household duties, while promoting dignity and self-agency

       Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to plan, record, review, and monitor care plans and individual outcomes

       Maintaining accurate records using digital systems and documentation standards

       Upholding HIQA regulations and standards, best practice guidelines, health and safety, and safeguarding policies

       Creating a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for all residents

       Working in a small residential centre supporting a maximum of four residents, ensuring high-quality, individualised care

Essential Requirements


We are seeking motivated, compassionate, and professional Social Care Workers who are committed to delivering high-quality residential care.

The ideal candidate will have:


       A recognised qualification in Social Care / Health Care at QQI Level 7 or higher (or equivalent)

       CORU Registration or proof of active CORU application

       Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to plan, document, and report effectively

       Confidence in using IT systems for record keeping and care documentation

       A full, clean driving licence (essential)

       A strong understanding of best practice in residential care and of individuals' rights and protection

       Legal right to work in Ireland and successful Garda Vetting

       A professional approach grounded in respect, empathy, flexibility, and initiative

       Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
