Communities are built from people sharing together. Students learn to build and evaluate communities using industry standard tools. They create content after understanding the personalities of those communities, and work to motivate those communities toward appropriate outcomes.
What You Will Do:
Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroomAdhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframesRespond to students’ questions and emails within the established timeframesProvide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon UniversityWhat You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Graphic Design, Journalism, Multimedia Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related fieldAt least 3 years of relevant industry experienceProficiency with social media management tools and community engagement, including:Building and managing online communitiesUnderstanding community dynamicsCreating written, visual, and video contentSocial listening and responding strategiesKnowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (desktop and mobile applications)Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a related field*Portfolio will be requested for review of application documents*
