Job Description

This is not a “schedule posts and report on engagement” role.

This is a front-row seat to the internet. You’ll be the person behind the comments, replies, likes, and subtle chaos that make people say:

“Whoever runs this account is unhinged (complimentary).”

You’ll help manage founder and brand social accounts by jumping into conversations in real time, keeping comment sections alive, and turning regular posts into engagement engines. If you believe the comments are where culture actually happens, you’ll feel very at home here.

Responsibilities

  • Reply to comments quickly, cleverly, and like a real human
  • Keep conversations alive so posts don’t die after 30 minutes
  • Like, engage, and occasionally stir the pot (tastefully)
  • Spot opportunities for humor, callbacks, memes, and inside jokes
  • Help organize posting themes and loose schedules (no corporate nonsense)
  • Pitch content ideas without being asked
  • Occasionally help with simple visuals or short-form video if needed

Requirements

  • Chronically online, but in a productive way
  • Comfortable breaking corporate social rules when it improves results
  • Fast at reading the room, the post, and the comment section
  • Self-directed and allergic to waiting for instructions
  • Funny, but not reckless (knowing when not to post is a skill)

How to Win

You’ll do well in this role if you treat comment sections like a live room, not a task; think about engagement as conversation, not metrics; bring ideas proactively instead of waiting for approval; and can be trusted alone on the internet.

This role will feel boring only if you are boring.

Benefits

  • Salary: $1000 to $1500 USD/ month + 13th month salary
  • Unlimited PTO
  • 100% remote
  • Independent Contractor
