About the Position: The Manitoban is the official students’ newspaper of the University of Manitoba. The Social Media Editor is responsible for promoting published articles across our social media platforms. Regular duties include attending weekly meetings on Monday and Wednesday evenings, following our social media guidelines, extracting shareable elements from stories, and reporting monthly summaries of analytics.

Responsibilities include: reading all articles published each issue in order to write social media captions for all articles and additional posts for all platforms; working with the copy team and other editors to continually improve quality, accuracy and engagement; promoting podcasts and videos on social media and planning and implementing additional strategies, initiatives and opportunities t...
