Role Overview:
The Social Media Executive at Rooter will play a video-first creator role—someone who is not only strong at ideating and producing engaging content but is also confident in front of the camera. In this position, the candidate will regularly feature in Rooter’s in-house social media content, develop scripts, shoot creative formats, and bring stories to life with an authentic on-screen presence.
The ideal candidate deeply understands gaming trends, knows what hooks work for short-form video, and can blend creativity with performance insights to grow Rooter’s digital audience.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Management
- Produce engaging, high-quality content tailored for social media and other digital platforms
- Ideate and develop scripts, concepts, and creative formats for short-form and long-form content. Should be comfortable in front of the camera to appear in our in-house social media content.
- Stay updated with hooks, trends, memes, and emerging content styles, especially in the gaming space.
Social Media Strategy & Execution
- Design, implement, and manage social media strategies aligned with brand and business goals
- Drive growth of followers and consistently enhance audience engagement across platforms
- Deliver integrated social media programs across multiple channels.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams at Rooter to align on campaigns and content needs
- Work with external stakeholders, including influencers and creators, to execute campaigns
- Ensure timely project execution and delivery across all channels.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
- Track, analyze, and report campaign performance using key metrics
- Optimize content and strategies based on data insights to meet company objectives
- Monitor community sentiment and actively engage with the audience wherever required.
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience managing social media handles for a company or brand
- Strong understanding of the Indian gaming ecosystem and its trends
- Knowledge of short-form video content hooks, trends, memes, and retention strategies.
- Comfortable with camera and video editing tools
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.
Qualification:
- Graduation in marketing or equivalent degree
- Certifications in social media management, digital marketing, or content strategy (preferred).
