Key Responsibilities

As a Social Media Manager at Gemius, your role is to lead and oversee the end-to-end social media strategy and execution for assigned brands. You are responsible for driving performance, ensuring publishing discipline, guiding junior team members, and maintaining creative and brand alignment. You’re expected to plan proactively, manage cross-functional coordination, and ensure timely, high-quality content goes live as per the calendar.


1. Planning & Strategy

β€’ Understand client product/service, target audience, and brand positioning.

β€’ Conduct competitor analysis (once per month).

β€’ Develop monthly content strategy & theme direction.

β€’ Prepare Monthly Content Calendar and get approval before execution.

β€’ Ensure all planning is documented, not verbal.


2. Content & Creative Coordination

β€’ Work with Content Writer to finalize:

o Captions

o Reel scripts

o Campaign ideas

β€’ Provide written creative briefs to designers (no verbal instructions).

β€’ Provide written editing briefs + shortlisted clips to video editor.

β€’ Ensure clarity in every task assigned.

Creative Brief Must Include:

β€’ Objective of the post/reel

β€’ Reference link or visual tone

β€’ Caption/script

β€’ Key visual highlight

β€’ Brand tone to follow


3. Shoot Planning & Execution

β€’ Each client will have 2 shoot days per month (as per monthly plan).

β€’ The Social Media Manager must plan shoot dates in advance and align:

o Production Person

o Designer (if required)

o Video Editor (post-shoot workflow)

o Client

β€’ During shoot days, the Social Media Manager must be physically present to:

o Direct frames, pacing & expressions

o Ensure brand language and content quality

o Maintain efficiency & minimize retakes


Important:

While shoot days are an important part of the role, the Social Media Manager ensures continuity by managing daily social media operations - posts, coordination, approvals, and message replies, across all assigned clients.
