Software Architect - Expert

Provide a short description of the Position: This position will be in support of the NYS Tax Modernization Program. This program will encompass multiple projects to modernize legacy systems within the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance, which is responsible for billions in state revenue. Some of the major areas under modernization include: • Collections and Accounts Receivable • Taxpayer Accounting • Real Property Tax Processing The position requires an expert level candidate to develop programs and functionality for the various tax systems being modernized.



Provide a list of the day-to-day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate: The selected candidate will be responsible for all phases of the System Development Life Cycle for complex projects. The responsibilities will include both new development as well as maintenance tasks.
