Software Asset Management

The J.D is as below :

Software Asset Management will ensure that all software assets and associated licenses required to support business processes and services are effectively managed controlled and optimized throughout their lifecycle This includes ensuring compliance with publisher licensing terms managing entitlements and maintaining accurate and reliable information about software installations usage and contractual obligations so that it is available when and where it is needed

Strong understanding of software licensing and compliance

Excellent organizational and analytical skills

Proficiency in SAM tools and software

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Software Inventory Management Maintain an accurate inventory of all software assets including licenses versions and installations

License Compliance Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and manage renewals and audits

Procurement Support Assist in the procurement of software liaising with Finance team for the Invoicing Billing and maintenance of agreements in the designated repositories

Usage Monitoring Monitor software usage to identify underutilized licenses and opportunities for cost savings

Policy Development Develop and enforce software asset management policies and procedures

Reporting Generate regular reports on software usage compliance and cost savings

Vendor Management Maintain relationships with software vendors and manage contracts and agreements

Training and Support Provide training and support to staff on software asset management with the best practices

Responsible for managing and optimizing the companys software assets ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and supporting costeffective software procurement and usage

Experience with cloudbased software and licensing models

Review service commitments if any KPIs metrics

Perform Software asset audits when required

Work with necessary teams to ensure publisher audit readiness

Conduct prereview of reports related to assets

Identify policy or process violations and address the same
