Software Dev Staff Engineer - Network OR Firewall /Cyber Security - C/C++ - 6+ yrs

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable database solutions for complex engineering problems.
• Work collaboratively and cross functionally to build and support cloud and DevOps adoption.
• Able to rapidly develop prototypes to identify the best set of technologies and toolkits to use for new feature development.
• Coordinate and be able to resolve issues across the entire stack - hardware, software, application, and network.
• Review entire environment and execute initiatives to reduce failures, and improve overall performance.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in C/C++ and database technologies.
• Strong experience in Network OR Cyber Security/Firewall Domain.
• 3+ year experience in SRE/DevOps is preferable.
• Strong foundation of Linux administration.
• Experience with AWS and its programming APIs (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, containers/ECS/EKS, lambda etc.).preferred.
• Programming skills in Python, Shell, and datacenter/AWS automation.
• Good to have experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Good to have Experience with configuration management (Ansible).

Education and Experience:

• At least 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 1 year experience; or equivalent experience preferred.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile Software Development Methodologies preferred.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure preferred.
