Job Summary
The Software Developer supports the customer, by developing application interface programs (APIs), data migration workflows, and secure data transfer solutions that enable the flow of maintenance data from the data lake to the Jupiter environment.
This role ensures data quality, security, reliability, and compliance across NIPR and SIPR environments. The developer will work within a cross-functional team, apply strong problem-solving techniques to diagnose issues, and support continuous improvement in data delivery and system performance.

Responsibilities
The contractor shall perform the following tasks to support government objectives:
Data Integration & Management
Manage datasets exported from the data warehouse, including development of automation routinesMonitor and manage end-to-end data load processes into Jupiter to ensure timeliness and accuracyDevelop and maintain data migration workflows and data quality validation processesRespond to customer feedback and resolve issues related to data integrity, access, or deliveryAPI & Application Interface Development
Design, develop, test, and maintain application interface programs (APIs)Ensure APIs meet performance, security, and compliance requirements for both NIPR and SIPR networksJupiter Environment Development & Administration
Obtain and manage administrative access to the Jupiter environmentDevelop and maintain the Maintenance Jupiter environment and Maritime Jupiter clusterManage enterprise databases within Jupiter environmentsDevelop and manage data transmissions to Jupiter using approved transfer protocolsRequired Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship RequiredSecret Clearance3–7+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, or API developmentExperience with data warehouse environments, ETL/ELT processes, and structured/unstructured data managementProficiency with modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, Go, or similar)Experience building and managing APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.)Familiarity with cloud architectures, clustered environments, or containerized servicesExperience working with secure networks, role-based access, and cybersecurity compliance (e.g., DoD RMF)Ability to troubleshoot complex data flows and system integrationsIf applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offeredPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)Experience with Navy/DoD systemsExperience with AzureExperience with Jupiter or similar data platformsExperience with SIPR/NIPR cross-domain data transfer processes such as Bi-Frost or CDS technologiesExperience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise database platformsKnowledge of data governance and metadata management practicesCompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certificationC
