About the Role

We’re looking for a seasoned Automation Test Engineer who can lead test automation across UI and API layers, drive quality gates in CI/CD, and collaborate closely with engineering to ship reliable, scalable software. You will own frameworks, mentor engineers, and continuously improve testing efficiency and coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Develop Automation: Build and enhance robust automation frameworks in Java using Selenium/WebDriver for UI and REST Assured/HTTP clients for API tests.
• End-to-End Test Coverage: Define test strategies and implement automated functional, regression, smoke, and integration tests across UI, API, and data layers.
• Quality Engineering: Establish quality gates, optimize test execution, and ensure fast feedback via CI/CD pipelines (e.G., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Test Data & Environments: Create/manage test data, mocks/stubs, and environment configurations;
  work with containers (Docker) and service virtualization when needed.
• Shift-Left Collaboration: Partner with developers, product managers, and DevOps to integrate tests early in the lifecycle;
  participate in code/design reviews.
• Reliability & Observability: Contribute to non-functional testing (performance, reliability), leverage logs/metrics for defect triage, and prevent regressions.
• Leadership & Mentoring: Guide junior QA/automation engineers on best practices, code quality, and troubleshooting.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain living documentation for frameworks/test suites;
  report test results, coverage, and risk to stakeholders.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in test automation with strong hands-on in Java.
• Advanced expertise in Selenium/WebDriver, Page Object / Page Factory, and design patterns for maintainable test code.
• Solid experience in API test automation with REST Assured, Postman collections/newman, or equivalent;
  strong understanding ofHTTP, REST, JSON, status codes, authentication (OAuth/JWT).
• Strong command of JUnit/TestNG, Maven/Gradle, and dependency management.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD with parallelization, reporting, and artifact management.
• Practical knowledge of Git, branching strategies, and code reviews.
