We are currently seeking a Software Development Senior Specialist to join our team in Guadalajara, Jalisco (MX-JAL), Mexico (MX).

Java Developer – Mid Senior (Guidewire Integrations)

Role Summary
Hands‑on developer responsible for designing and delivering backend features and integrations with Guidewire systems, with increasing autonomy and quality ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design/build scalable services with Spring Boot; contribute to solution design.
• Implement Guidewire‑adjacent integrations (e.g., policy/claim data sync, rating/underwriting calls, billing events).
• Create automated unit/integration tests; support performance tuning.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and technical grooming.
• Troubleshoot production issues; improve observability (logs/metrics/traces).
• Mentor junior devs; uphold secure coding and compliance practices.

Must‑Have Skills

• Strong Java + Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, REST API design.
• Solid SQL; familiarity with message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and caching (Redis).
• API security (OAuth2/JWT), error handling, resiliency patterns.
• Working knowledge of GW integration patterns (GOSU rules, data model, messaging, Web Services).
• Experience integrating with PolicyCenter/BillingCenter/ClaimCenter via REST/SOAP.
• Familiarity with plugin points and event models.

Experience

• 4–6 years Java development, including 1–2 years building integrations.

Tools/Tech

• Java 11/17, Spring Boot, JPA, Maven/Gradle, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Docker, Git, CI/CD, Grafana/ELK or similar.
