This role requires strong people's leadership, deep distributed systems expertise, and hands-on understanding of cloud-native AI systems (OCI), Kubernetes, and DevOps at scale.
**Responsibilities**
**Platform & Technical Ownership**
+ Own the end-to-end lifecycle of OCI Speech services, including ASR (batch & real-time), TTS, customization, and AI inference platforms.
+ Lead architecture and evolution of high-throughput, low-latency speech systems processing millions of jobs and real-time sessions across OCI regions.
+ Drive design decisions around scalability, fault tolerance, model deployment, and cost optimization.
**Kubernetes, DevOps & CI/CD**
+ Own Kubernetes-based deployment models for speech engines, API services, and model pipelines.
+ Drive DevOps best practices, including:
+ CI/CD pipelines for model and service releases

+ Improve developer velocity and reliability through automation, observability, and standardized pipelines.
**Operational Excellence**
+ Own 24x7 operational health of OCI Speech services.

+ Recruit and retain top-tier talent in distributed systems, ML platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
+ Coach engineers to develop strong ownership, architectural judgment, and execution of excellence.
**Strategy, Roadmap & Cross-Functional Leadership**
+ Define and execute a clear roadmap balancing feature delivery, reliability, and cost efficiency.
+ Partner with Product Management, Applied Science, GPU/Compute, Networking, and other OCI teams.
+ Represent OCI Speech in executive reviews, communicating technical direction, risks, and business impact.
