The SDET role specializes in the design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated tests to ensure the quality of software products. Partners with team members to understand software requirements and execute automated tests that validate the functionality while considering privacy and security requirements
Your Primary Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement automated tests to ensure the quality of software productsAs a squad member, work to understand software requirementsDesign, develop and maintain automated tests that validate the functionality
As a squad member work to identify and resolve defects and improve the overall software testing processImplement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) processes.
Diagnose and remediate software defectsStay ahead with new software testing methodologies, tools, and technologiesUnderstand and apply industry-specific best methodologies & standards
Establish level of expertise in the business areas, systems and platforms being supportedResponsible for system integration testing, including automation, of newly developed or enhanced applicationsResponsible for reviewing requirements and design artifacts, developing unit, integration and system test cases, ensuring extensive test coverage for our applicationsUnderstand and articulate the business and the value addsPlay an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete resultsResponsible for Project Coordination and Technical Management **NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above. **
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of related experience.Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.Talents Needed for Success:
Hands On experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc. as well as CI/CD technologies (e.g. Cloudbees, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, Git, JUnit, Jira etc.).Extensive experience with testing modern scripting language-based components.
Strong experience with automated testing and test-driven developmentDetailed understanding of smoke testing, functional, and non-black box testing, as well as regression testingKnowledge of software testing methodologies and techniques, including unit testing, integration testing, and functional testingExpert and hands on with backend test automation using Rest Assured/Karate for API testing. JDBC/JPA for database testing (Oracle/ DB2/ Snowflake).Experience in Software DevelopmentProficiency in programming language (Java & Python)Knowledge of Databases and SQL preferred. Experience in writing sophisticated SQL queries.Experienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordination.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong teamwork and collaboration skills.Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
