Overview

Twirll is looking for a dynamic and hardworking Backend Engineer to help with the development of cloud applications. We are looking for web developers with a passion for building simple, intuitive interfaces for navigating complex sets of information. You will join our team to work with the latest web technologies to deliver new features and improvements on a daily basis. This role involves collaborating with the core development team to drive Twirll application cloud to the next level. We are looking for someone who loves technology, is ready to solve problems, and treats customers like partners.

Location: Noida, India

Key Responsibilities

  • Build APIs that any developer loves
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to define feature specifications and timelines
  • Define solutions to user problems and help set priorities
  • Build high-performance, scalable and maintainable APIs and back-end
  • Lead architecture discussions and come up with scalable solutions
  • Be part of a complete rewrite of applications in Ruby on Rails and Python
  • Keep up to date with the evolving web development landscape

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency and experience writing modern web applications
  • Expert knowledge of 2+ years Ruby on Rails, WebSockets, HTTP
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails framework and Python
  • Experience in SQL & NoSQL databases
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks for Ruby on Rails
  • Experience deploying on multiple cloud infrastructure environments
  • 3+ years experience
  • Experience with API design patterns, security, performance, and usability
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Startup / entrepreneurial experience is a plus

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical understanding of HTML5, CSS and jQuery
  • Understanding of JS frameworks like Angular and jQuery
  • Understanding of hybrid app frameworks
  • Internet of Things devices and technology behind it
  • System performance and operational load
