BarCoded is building a smartwatch-first performance analytics platform that helps strength & conditioning coaches guide and develop athletes—without needing to be physically present. Our mission is to bridge the "data-to-action gap" between coaches and athletes, so every rep, every lift, and every improvement translates into smarter, more efficient training. We are looking for an early-stage full stack developer to join our team and help build the core product alongside the founders, including our technical lead. This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and wants to help shape both the technology and the company.

Role Expectations (Read Carefully):

• This is not a traditional job, not an internship, and not a short-term resume booster
• This is an early-stage startup full stack developer role with meaningful ownership and responsiblity
• Long-term commitment to BarCoded's mission and vision Desire to grow into a core leadership role over time
• Willingness to prioritize BarCoded over competing personal projects or side ventures

Compensation:

Equity-based initially, with the intent to move to paid compensation as the company grows and funding milestones are reached

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• Prior experience working in a startup environment strongly preferred
• Strong hands-on experience with: Java and Spring Boot React Native PostgreSQL and SQL-based data modeling TimescaleDB or time-series databases (strong asset)
• Experience launching: iOS and Android mobile applications
• Smartwatch applications on watchOS and WearOS Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work closely with founders, advisors, and cross-functional contributors Shape
