Software Engineer (Backend / Full Stack)

Python, FastAPI, AWS, and React

Location: Mexico City, Mexico (On-site)

Job Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for experienced Backend and Full Stack Engineers to join our team in Mexico. You will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling backend services and web applications, working closely with product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

This role is ideal for engineers with a strong foundation in Python, FastAPI, AWS, and React , who thrive in fast-paced environments and want to make an impact from day one.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using Python and FastAPI .
  • Develop and maintain full stack features with React on the frontend and Python-based services on the backend.
  • Work with AWS cloud infrastructure to deploy, monitor, and optimize services.
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable code while following best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, QA) to deliver end-to-end features.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and improve system reliability and performance.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, architecture decisions, and code reviews.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (backend or full stack).
  • Strong expertise in Python and modern frameworks (FastAPI preferred).
  • Solid experience with AWS services (Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, etc.).
  • Proven experience building RESTful APIs and scalable backend systems .
  • For Full Stack: proficiency in React and front-end development.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, testing, and deployment pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Mexico City .
Nice to Have
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • CI/CD pipeline experience.
  • Familiarity with microservices architectures.
  • Previous experience in high-growth or startup environments.
