Software Engineer, Data & Retrieval

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team at the intersection of Data, Retrieval, and AI Agents! Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will apply your backend expertise to solve product challenges involving data retrieval, intensive API development, and the operationalization of data pipelines. You will be a key contributor to our search and retrieval infrastructure, evolving data models. You will contribute to our data extraction, enrichment, retrieval and evaluation initiatives. As an Software Engineer, you are expected to independently deliver solutions of medium complexity and act as a technical resource within your pod. On the BenchSci Data team, you will work with a group of talented and passionate contributors as you help shape the future of scientific discovery and progress.

Pay range: $100,000 - 140,000
