About the Role
This position is performed by an experienced professional and will undertake difficult research, design and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products under the guidance of more senior members of the squad. This position performs software design - typically across multiple components; is developing the skills of mentoring more junior members of the team and works with others to talk to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions
Responsibilities
Working in an agile scrum team that works in a T-shape model to achieve a common goal and delivers value in 2-week sprints.
Taking advantage of XP techniques such as test-driven development, pair programming and continuous delivery.
Delivering software using modern technology stacks (microservices, single page applications).
Developing test automation, including unit and integration testing.
Suggesting and implementing solutions using AWS Cloud infrastructure.
Working closely with Frontend, Data, System and Quality Engineers to build the product; receiving support from the entire team when needed, and willing to support them when necessary.
Actively reviewing the implementations done in your team, and also other teams.
Requirements
Hands-on experience for writing complex queries/aggregations on ElasticSearch.
Solid experience with Java and modern Java frameworks.
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance, scalability, availability and security.
Experience with relational and NoSQL data sources.
Nice to have Scala and Spark
Experience designing / building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customer.
Demonstrate clear understanding of CI/CD, building and running pipelines (ideally Jenkins, Github Actions).
Hands on experience on Test Driven Development and automated integration testing.
Cloud experience (ideally AWS).
