About The Role

As a Software Engineer III on our Display Framework Engineering team, you will contribute to designing, developing, and optimizing our server-driven presentation framework for all customer-facing SVOD client applications. You will own key features, ensure high-quality code and performance, and collaborate with global teams to shape our technology roadmap. Your contributions will help maintain Crunchyroll's position as a leading Anime streaming service.

You will report to the Engineering Manager, Display Frameworks, and we are considering applicants for Mexico City.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain frontend and backend components of the display framework.
  • Lead design discussions and make critical system design decisions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define requirements.

About You

We value candidates with:

  • Extensive experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Proven expertise in front-end, back-end, or full-stack development.
  • Strong understanding of modern frontend frameworks (Vue preferred).
  • Experience with Node.js and serverless architectures.
  • Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with WebSockets and AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, CloudFront).
  • Knowledge of serverless architectures, Vue, Vuetify, Pinia, YJS, CRDTs, and SDET practices.
