Job Description
We are looking for a skilled SDET Engineer with strong expertise in API automation, Playwright, and Java to design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks. The ideal candidate will work closely with development and product teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for API and UI testing
- Create and execute automated test scripts using Playwright
- Perform API automation testing using tools/frameworks like Rest Assured
- Write clean, maintainable test code using Java
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools
- Collaborate with developers to improve testability and quality
- Review test cases and contribute to test strategy and best practices
Mandatory Skills
- 3–6 years of experience as SDET / Automation Test Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience in API Automation
- Experience with Playwright for UI automation
- Proficiency in Java
- Experience with Rest Assured or similar API testing frameworks
- Knowledge of Test NG / JUnit
- Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, etc.)
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
- Good understanding of SDLC & STLC
Good to Have
- Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber)
- Exposure to Docker / Kubernetes
- Performance testing experience (JMeter, Gatling)
- Cloud exposure (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- SQL basics for database validation
