Software Engineer
We are Mansys Pty Ltd, recruitment consultants. Our client, Sonar Technologies International Pty Ltd, is actively looking for a Software Engineer to join its team on a full-time basis to be placed at their office in Macquarie Park, NSW. Sonar Technologies is a smart solutions company helping businesses run sharper with transport & logistics, workforce, warehousing, retail and hospital management platforms. Their products (Trans Service, Trans Send, Visual Assets and smart workforce solutions) automate scheduling, dispatch, real-time tracking, routing, and analytics for customers across Australia and worldwide.
Business is growing their engineering team and are looking for a Software Engineer to help build the next generation of field service, transport and workforce management software. The main roles and responsibilities are below:
• Designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and documenting software applications.
• Writing, modifying, and maintaining program code in line with system specifications.
• Debugging, diagnosing, and resolving software errors and performance issues.
• Analysing user needs and developing software solutions to meet business requirements.
• Maintaining and upgrading existing software systems for better efficiency.
• Preparing and developing technical specifications from system design.
• Assisting in software integration, API development, and database management.
• Mentoring and guiding junior developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, security protocols, and best practices.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Conducting end-user training sessions and preparing user documentation.
• Conducting and participating in system design workshops and providing input on architecture and software design decisions.
Qualifications and Skills- Must Have
• Must have Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Application
• Must have more than 5 years of experience as Software Engineer
• Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET (Framework and/or .NET Core).
• Hands-on experience building Web APIs / back-end services for business-critical applications.
• Solid RDBMS skills – SQL Server / PostgreSQL / similar (schema design, stored procedures, performance tuning).
• Experience working on enterprise business systems – ideally transport, logistics, field service, workforce, warehousing or ERP-style products
Nice to Have (Big Plus)
• Exposure to:
o Routing / mapping / GPS tracking features
o Scheduling / rostering engines
o Message queues, integrations, and microservices
• Experience in B2B SaaS and multi-tenant architectures.
• Comfort working directly with customers or product owners to refine requirements
Successful Candidate will be offered a salary of A$110,000 to A$130,000 plus Superannuation.
