Job Description

TXT E-Tech, a company of the TXT Group, is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Aerospace & Defence Business Unit.

We are seeking a motivated and curious professional, with a strong passion for technology and a problem-solving mindset, eager to grow professionally in a dynamic environment.

The selected candidate will be involved in software component development, actively collaborating with the project team and interfacing with the Client, contributing to innovative and high-quality solutions.

Required technical skills:

  • Ability to analyze functional and technical requirements
  • Development of software modules in C++ on Linux operating systems; alternatively, strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles is required
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Experience with XML for configuration and data exchange
  • Familiarity with Model-Driven Development (MDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies
  • Ability to integrate different software modules


Optional technical skills:

  • Knowledge of the ADA programming language
  • Experience with virtualized environments (VMware, VirtualBox, or similar)
  • Familiarity with IBM software engineering toolchain (DOORS, Rhapsody, RQM, etc.)
  • Understanding and development of multithreaded applications, with attention to synchronization, resource management, and performance


Education:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related fields


Work location:

  • Activities will take place at the Client site in Rome
