Job Title: Test Engineer
Job Description
In this role, you will contribute to developing both software and hardware solutions that perform functional and diagnostic testing of various communication electronic assemblies and test equipment. You will be involved in capturing customer requirements and defining automation of test scenarios. An ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of hardware and software testing principles, knowledge of automation tools and frameworks, and a strong passion for problem-solving.
Responsibilities
+ Perform requirements analysis by analyzing technical OEM documentation, schematics, and UUT behavior to understand test requirements.
+ Assist in designing physical interface connections by generating electrical schematics or wire lists and bills of material.
+ Assist in procurement of necessary components and materials.
+ Develop automated test programs to implement test requirements, applying stimulus and measuring outputs from the UUT.
+ Use revision control software for managing all source and document data.
+ Perform debugging and troubleshooting procedures to resolve failure conditions.
+ Execute manual and automated tests to verify product functionality, performance, and reliability.
+ Analyze test results and identify root causes of failures.
+ Engage in customer interface as required.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to learn new skills quickly and apply them to assigned tasks.
+ Proficient in reading and understanding electronic schematics and assembly drawings.
+ Experience in software development and writing automated test programs.
+ Knowledge of basic electronic components and ability to determine operations based on component datasheets.
+ Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
+ Understanding of basic RF principles.
+ Programming proficiency in C#, C++, Python, or similar object-oriented languages.
+ Familiarity with test equipment, such as RF spectrum analyzers, RF generators, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Must be eligible for DoD Security Clearance
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with RF test equipment.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 3+ years of experience or equivalent background.
+ Experience with tactical or airborne radios.
+ Proficiency in MATLAB and LabVIEW.
+ Experience in developing documentation, including test requirements documents, validation plans, and reports.
+ Ability to troubleshoot using external test and measurement equipment.
+ Familiarity with the internals of systems and writing programs for remotely setting up radios and taking measurements.
+ Understanding of RF transmitter/receiver functions such as power, modulation, sensitivity, selectivity, and frequency.
Work Environment
This position is based on-site and is not remote. The work schedule follows a 9/80 format, and travel with customer interface may be required. The company is building an engineering center of excellence in Orlando, FL, and is poised for growth with potential multi-year Army programs on the horizon.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
