A prominent federal government agency is seeking skilled Software Engineers (Developers) to join its Technology Command. This is a unique opportunity to support the agency’s mission of protecting Australians and Australia’s interests by developing and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions that enable national security and law enforcement operations. As part of a dynamic technology team, the successful Software Engineers will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise software, modernising applications, and enhancing the agency’s digital and operational capabilities. The Software Engineers will be offered an initial 12-month contract with up to 24 month extensions, open to candidates in ACT, with flexible hybrid work arrangements available.

The successful Software Engineers will be responsible for:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining C# .NET, REST API, Oracle (PL/SQL), JavaScript, and VB6 applications.
• Analysing complex ICT business issues and providing innovative technical design solutions.
• Collaborating across testing, release, and operations teams to deliver secure, efficient software solutions.
• Working within Agile delivery teams to meet operational priorities and deliver business value.

To be successful, the Software Engineers will demonstrate:

• Strong proficiency in C# .NET development, database programming, and API integration.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade applications within large or government environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaborative teamwork skills in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Commitment to maintaining technical excellence through continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
