Software Quality Engineer

Areas of responsibility:

• You are the only Software Quality Engineer in your SCRUM team, which consists of a Product Owner, three Software Development Engineers, one DevOps, a SCRUM Master and a Solution Architect.
• You are working in a matrix organization structure that's why you are also a member of the Software Quality Team leaded by the Head of Software Quality Management
• You are creating, running and documenting manual and automated tests which cover the complete functionality of the product.
• You guide your cross-functional teammates through the jungle of Software Quality Assurance, and you are delivering together a product of outstanding quality.
• You help your team mates to find the root causes of bugs.
• You collaborate also with the Firmware Developers to ensure quality and safety for the whole IoT product and do your parts for having Cross-Team-E2E-Tests

Needed skills:

• Broad experience in creating automated functional (UI-E2E-Tests) and API Tests, both with Cypress.
• In-depth experience in creating manual test cases, test runs and test documentation for software applications (Web and IoT).
• Good knowledge in a Test-Management Tool, the preferred one is Jira in combination with Xray.
• Experience with IoT testing, e.g. with Mockups, Virtual Devices, Remote Devices and the knowledge of how to automate them best.
• Good knowledge about SCRUM
• Technical affinity and a knack for User Experience
• Team Player and a 100% willingness for continuous personal improvement
• C1 English knowledge in verbal and written form
• Nice to have: German language knowledge
• Nice to have: Experience in embedded firmware QA
