Senior Software Quality Engineer

Our Software Quality Engineering team ensures that our next-generation software is of the highest quality. We conduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that our software meets or exceeds end-user requirements. We debug software products, oversee the development of test plans, ensure system tests are documented, analyze the results, provide feedback to developers and make sure that all problems are resolved. We also select testing specifications for new products and ensure testing procedures comply with industry-specific standards.

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Software Quality Engineer, you will develop, revise and maintain test plans, test cases and automated test scripts that include resource requirements, schedule assumptions and scope based on pre-determined product requirements. You will work with Product Development, Product Management and the Customer Support teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate to develop comprehensive test plans across Dell’s product portfolio. You will also play a key role in driving innovation and proactive improvements in quality engineering.

You will:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test coverage and plans that validate PowerMax storage architecture and features
  • Develop and deploy Python-based automation frameworks and infrastructure to support comprehensive end-to-end system validation.
  • Foster global collaboration and demonstrate adaptability to proactively address challenges
  • Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitHub, and Jenkins
  • Drive continuous improvement in test automation methodologies and processes

    Essential Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience in software quality engineering and test automation
  • Strong Python programming with advanced Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills
  • Familiarity with operating systems including Windows, Linux, Unix, and VMware
  • Broad system-level knowledge and understanding of enterprise storage architectures
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field

  • In-depth knowledge of Fibre Channel (FC) and Ethernet protocols
  • Familiarity with SAN protocols (FC: FCP, FCIP, FCoE; iSCSI:TCP)
