Software Senior Principal Engineer

The R&D team delivers next-generation Industry-leading Dell platforms with software defined NAS solution. The team's core responsibility is to design, develop, and debug the data path, Filesystems and Protocols aspects of NAS.

What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

  • Work with Product Management, product owners, and come up with Product Design, translate design into detailed or low-level design, estimate and lead the team to deliver the features.
  • Lead prototyping and testing to validate design and functionality, focusing on performance and scalability
  • Refine designs based on feedback, testing, and evolving requirements. Take part in the full software development life cycle including development, test, continuous delivery & support.
  • Be an active member of an Agile team, collaboratively realizing features through development, test, and delivery

    Essential Requirements

  • 13-18 years of related experience with a Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree. Hands-on coding experience in C/C++, Python
  • Strong experience in Architecting / designing, developing, and maintaining resilient software infrastructure
  • Expertise in NAS Storage Technologies: Filesystem internals and NFS/SMB protocols & experience in Linux development: Debugging, performance analysis and understanding of Kernel
  • Strong Object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms knowledge. Agile-based development experience
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, good communication skills and stakeholder management


    • Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity with Replication and Snapshot technologies
  • Ability to use AI tools for Engineering efficiency
