The Sr Software Test Engineer plays a key role in supporting the design, development, validation and launch of new products and product changes. This role works with design engineers and project teams to formally test software components, systems, and various other changes. The role is primarily responsible for developing and executing software test plans to identify software problems and their causes and performs a mentorship role in ensuring design engineers and project teams understand the reasoning of the tests in the test plan. Work with engineering teams to create and document software test plans. Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, report defects to product teams and cross functional groups.
