About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA / Software Test Engineer with 4+ years of experience to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our web-based products and platforms.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end testing activities , including test planning, manual and automation testing, API testing, defect management , and continuous improvement of testing processes. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on product requirements
• Execute manual test cases for web applications, APIs, and backend systems
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar
• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts/frameworks using open-source tools
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using bug tracking tools (JIRA or similar)
• Perform regression, smoke, sanity, and functional testing as required
• Work closely with development and product teams to understand system requirements and resolve issues efficiently
• Ensure timely execution of test cases and adherence to release timelines
• Participate in test reviews, defect triage meetings, and release sign-offs
• Continuously improve QA processes, test coverage, and best practices
• Stay updated with new testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends

Required Skills and Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC
• Hands-on experience in:
• Test planning and test case design
• Manual testing for web applications
• API testing
• Automation testing (any framework/tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc.)
• Experience in defect tracking and reporting using tools like JIRA
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment

Good to Have (Preferred Skills)

• Experience testing CMS, internal tools, dashboards, or enterprise applications
• Knowledge of CI/CD integration for automated tests
• Basic understanding of databases and SQL
• Experience in Agile / Scrum environments

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering , or equivalent practical experience
