In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Understand and analyze the requirements, technical design documents.Identify and develop detailed and comprehensive test scenarios, test cases and test documentation.Create test plan, test schedule, test designs and test objectives to ensure product quality.Testing of device descriptions (FDI packages, UIPs, EDDs, FDT/DTM), Device LUI,Snap-On applications for field devices.Functional, GUI and integration test.Ensuring quality and compliance through validation processes.Explore opportunities to test real world field use cases using simulation.Bug reporting and maintaining on version control tools.Adhere to best practices and guidelines for test documentation, defects logging and test case development.Collaborating across disciplines.Expected to take on additional responsibilities as needed and operate effectively with minimal support.Focused on continuous improvement of quality-driven software techniques and processes.
Who You Are:You are an engineer responsible for testing device descriptors, UIPs, LUI and Snap -ON applications used for field devices.
You bring knowledge about test concepts/ terminologies and industrial communication protocols. You collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to help deliver intuitive, reliable, and standards-compliant interfaces for field devices.
For This Role, You Will Need:Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering or related field.3+ years of experience in testing Device Descriptor, LUI, snap-ON application or any software.Knowledge about control systems and device integration.Proficient in: Manual / automation Test
Familiarity with industrial protocols (HART, PROFIBUS, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, OPC UA) and field devices.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsDemonstrate ability to work in a complex team structure, including distributed (. global) teams.Ability to document and troubleshoot errors and prepare bug reportsFamiliarity on version control and defect tracking tools.Hands-on experience in software test strategy, developing test automation framework, test environment setup, test planning, monitoring along with test status reporting.Ability to debug hardware setup issues and familiarity with protocol analyzer tools.Good understanding of waterfall and agile project development life cycles.Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:Experience working with Global teams
Familiarity with any scripting languages like Python, VB script etc.
ISTQB Foundation level (or equivalent) certification
