About the Role
About the RoleTechSafe Australia are currently seeking a Solar and Battery Inspection Supervisor to join our company. The role provides opportunity for those experienced in the renewables sector to work closely with Regulators, Govt Departments, Standards Groups and TechSafe’s Technical Team. The role requires a high level of technical expertise with knowledge of applicable Australian Standards and Regulations, working closely with business stakeholders including Inspectors, Field Personnel, HSE Team, Operations Manager, Clients and the Scheduling Team. You will be responsible for ensuring electrical inspection works comply with legislative, regulatory and contractual requirements, through effective management of field personnel, providing induction, mentoring, ongoing training, field audits and performance management.
Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Flexible - The role can be based in any of our offices nationally
Reporting Line: Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities:Lead, direct, plan and coordinate the activities of field staff (sub-contractors)Manage teams of inspectors/sub-contractors to ensure that client/contract KPIs, milestones and targets are being met or exceededProvide subject matter expertise to the work group, clients and customers to ensure compliance to all relevant laws, regulationsMaintain reporting systems to ensure timeliness, accuracy of all management information systemsEnsure quality of reporting through review processes ahead of submission to regulators, clients and customers.Ensure the standard of all work in the field is of a high quality and in accordance with work practices and standards required by the Client, the Company and service providersReview company procedures and systems applicable to your role for compliance to statutory, customer, utility and local Government requirementsMake sound and competent financial decisions for your assigned project, the business unit and the companyLiaise with the client and their customers to appropriately manage operational and technical issues or complaintsWork with the Operations Manager and Scheduling team to ensure that corporate objectives and financial targets are being met or exceededAct as nominee on the company’s electrical contractors licencing if necessaryAbout you:Possess a strong aptitude for effective leadership, with a commitment to positively influence others.Possess an expert technical knowledge of the relevant aspects of the work and the work practices required by the industry and client baseExcellent communication skills to interpret the meaning of complex written, spoken and diagrammatic procedures and to ensure all staff are clearly instructed on procedures, policies and targets etc.Demonstrable ability to manage to a budgetBe committed to excellent performance and workmanshipPossess a high level of organisation skills to achieve targets.Proven industry experienceQualifications:
Electrical work licenceCurrent drivers licenceClean Energy Council Solar Accreditation for Grid connected PV Systems and Battery Storage Systems for Grid-Connected PV Systems Design & Install (Stand Alone desirable)Working at Heights accreditation (desirable)Construction White Card
