Solar Design Engineer

The Role:

 Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing kW and MW solar PV power plants
• Analysis, development, and yield assessment using PVSyst
• Preparation of design, layout and drawings, shadow analysis, capacity sizing
• Undertaking due diligence analyses and technical reviews, including, uncertainty analysis for various solar PV systems
• Independent review of solar PV designs, analyses of existing plants, using as built drawings/ site conditions
• Preparation of BOM and BOQ
• Assist in the preparation of technical papers or presentations
• Assist in vendor selection
• Design documentation and making required changes as per the site conditions

Ideal Profile:

Requirements :

• Bachelors or Masters in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with specialization in energy systems
• Minimum 3 years of experience in solar PV system design
• Proficient in PVSyst, G-sketch up, Auto Cad
• Experience in design of various balance of systems (BOS) components
• Good understanding of all related design codes and best industry practices
• Experience in selection and finalizing bill of materials (BOM).
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Time management skills required to achieve established targets
