Job Description:
To lead the end-to-end migration of critical banking databases from legacy Oracle Solaris (SPARC/x86) platforms to Linux (RHEL) environments. You will ensure data integrity, minimal downtime, and optimal performance tuning on the target Linux infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities
• Migration Strategy: Design and execute migration paths for complex database landscapes, choosing between RMAN Cross-Platform Transportable Tablespaces (XTTS), Data Guard (Physical Standby), or Data Pump based on database size and downtime constraints.
• Environment Preparation: Configure and harden target Linux servers. This includes managing kernel parameters, HugePages, and sysctl settings tailored for database workloads.
