Job Description
Amentum is seeking a knowledgeable and detail‑oriented **Solid Waste Specialist** to support waste inspection, compliance, and environmental oversight activities in the Washington, DC area. This role is responsible for inspecting a variety of waste disposal and treatment facilities—including municipal waste disposal sites, demolition waste landfills, sewage sludge disposal locations, agricultural waste sites, and industrial waste treatment operations.
The Solid Waste Specialist also investigates waste‑related complaints, evaluates disposal practices, and ensures compliance with relevant environmental regulations to protect public health, natural resources, and surrounding communities.
