Job Description

About Us Perk (formerly TravelPerk) is the intelligent platform for travel and spend management. Built to tackle the time‑consuming, manual work that gets in the way of real work, our tools automate everything from travel bookings to expenses, invoice processing, and more. By eliminating this shadow work that wastes hours, erodes morale, and saps innovation, we’re on a mission to power real work, with real impact. We’re trusted by more than 10,000 companies worldwide, including Wise, On Running, Breitling, and Fabletics. We tackle the 7 hours of lost productivity per employee each week, a $1.7 trillion problem. Founded in 2015, Perk has grown into a global company of more than 1,800 people across 12 offices worldwide, with headquarters in London and Boston. We combine innovation, control, and simplicity to transform how businesses work and how people feel at work. At Perk, we’re driven by our values: being an owner, delivering a 7‑star experience, and working as one team. We value curiosity, purpose, and mindset, not just knowledge, to unlock the power in your potential. About the Role As Perk expands into the expense and spend management market, we’re selling into finance‑led organisations with complex ERP landscapes like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Sage, Datev, and more. To win and scale, we need a technical authority in our solution consulting (pre‑sales) team who can speak ERP fluently, frame integration strategy early, and eliminate downstream surprises. Ideal candidates come from SaaS pre‑sales or a Systems Integrator implementation/functional consulting background, blending credibility, architecture, and customer influence. What You’ll Do The Solution Architect is the technical backbone of enterprise expense/spend management deals. Run ERP/finance discovery, conceptualise and design integration approaches or options. Reduce risk before signature, accelerate deal confidence, and ensure seamless handover to Professional Services. Shape, scope, and make integrations credible without implementing them directly. Key Responsibilities Technical Discovery & Integration Strategy Lead deep‑dive ERP discovery across SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Sage, Datev, etc. Translate financial processes into clean integration narratives (master data, approvals, posting, tax, reconciliation). Produce “solution architecture” diagrams customers can trust. Rapidly assess feasibility, constraints, risks, and viable workarounds. ERP Expertise & Authority in the Room Serve as the go‑to integration expert within the deal team. Communicate clearly how our solution integrates via APIs, export files, middleware, and native connectors. Explain posting logic, chart of accounts, multi‑entity setups, VAT workflows, project codes, and reconciliation cycles. Deal Acceleration & Technical Validation Create prototypes that confirm the feasibility of our suggested implementation. Facilitate validation steps: connector walkthroughs, sample data tests, architectural reviews. Align with Professional Services early to ensure accurate scoping and predictable go‑live expectations. Cross‑Functional Alignment & Feedback Loop Partner with Product and Engineering to improve integration capabilities and documentation. Provide structured feedback on connector gaps, common customer patterns, and technical blockers. Help build reusable integration playbooks for global scale. What You’ll Bring Hands‑on ERP integration experience with at least one major system (SAP ECC/S4 preferred, NetSuite, MS Dynamics 365 F&O, Business Central, Xero, or similar). Strong pre‑sales, solution architecture, or technical consulting background – SaaS or Systems Integrator. Background in expense, AP, or financial automation preferred. Ability to sketch architectures live and explain complex flows in simple language. Excellent customer‑facing presence with finance IT stakeholders. Skilled in API concepts, SCIM/SSO, middleware patterns, and secure data flows (REST, SOAP, sFTP). Experience with iPaaS platforms (Workato, Boomi, MuleSoft). Business level spoken German and English; other languages are a great advantage. How We Work At Perk, we take an IRL‑first approach to work, where our team works together in‑person 3 days a week. This role requires you to be based within commuting distance of our hubs. For certain roles, we can help with relocation from anywhere in the world. English is the official language at the office, and please submit your resume in English if you choose to apply. Perk is a global company with a diverse customer base, and we want to make sure the people behind our product reflect that. We’re an equal opportunity employer, and you’re welcome at Perk regardless of how you look, where you’re from, or anything else that makes you, well, you.
